This futuristic, hi-tech installation in the center of Harajuku, Tokyo, is in fact, an online game portal store for mobile phones. The Flatflat, the work of Sako Architects, was developed with NHN Japan Corporation, in order to allow visitors to experience “Hangame.”
The idea behind the design was to combine virtual elements with open spaces, while representing the modern society of real and virtual environments. The organic principle is echoed in the the curved lines and cave-like spaces.
